1. Seeing a full size roller coaster in a shopping centre
Times Square in Kuala Lumpur is a huge multi story shopping centre complete with restaurants, arcades, cinemas and a theme park!
2. Out of this world snorkelling in Langkawi
You can snorkel from the beach and swim with hundreds of beautiful fish, some are actually very big – plus reef sharks (they don’t eat people, usually). The visibility is generally very good.
3. Wildlife
There is wildlife everywhere - you can even see wild monkey’s in the capital city. Staying on an island like Tioman you are likely to see flying foxes, monitor lizards, sea turtles, dwarf deer, plenty of sea life, monkeys and an assortment of bird life. You can also head to Borneo for orang-utans and gibbons.

Malaysia is rich with culture and the people are very friendly and inquisitive and really make staying in Malaysia a pleasure.

The food is delightful and with a mix of Indian and Malaysian there is plenty to try, loads of fresh juices and great fish dishes.

The shopping is amazing whatever you buy, whether handmade items, fashion or gadgets and electronics. Prices are very good and the choice is superb. Make sure you have plenty of spare room in your suitcase!
7. Genting Highlands
Head up to Genting Highlands for a trip on a cable car, theme park, and stunning views. It’s a great place to stay, watch a show and enjoy a bit of luxury.
8. Weather
The weather in Malaysia is pretty much always good, even in monsoon season where there is a usually 30 minute downpour sometime in the evening.
9. The Perhentian Islands
White squeaky sand and turquoise water – The Perhentian Islands are one of the top 10 islands in the world. A perfect place to relax or explore. There are so many stunning islands in Malaysia – just take your pick!
10. Trekking
Malaysia has plenty of options for trekking from the cooler Cameron Highlands where there are many tea plantations, to the Taman Negara where you could even see a panther (very unlikely!)
